Original productions (Uplifting Trance, Pumping House, Dance, ...)
Jordan Waeles pres. Flashy J - Generate Power (2004)
 |
This track is based on a disco-sample that a friend found, there was kind of a competition on a forum to know who would actually make the best remix out of it, no results of this contest ever came out but I was proud of this one.
I had it cut on a 12" plate, and I played it in a lot of house parties where I was mixing. It is actually in the top-10 of the most downloaded tracks on electrobel.be .
I really would like to make some more disco-house tracks like this one!
Vocals come from Photon Inc - Generate Power. |

Original whitelabel remixes (Uplifting Trance, Pumping House, Dance, ...)
Reel 2 reel - Move it (Flashy J's peaktime remix) (2006)
 |
Reel 2 reel is one of the tracks that made me aware, as a child, that I loved dance music. As a tribute to this great anthem, I remixed it using some electro-house sounds, and I did a huge buildup that already made a lot of people yell when I played this remix at Le You :)
Exclusive: the proof it works :)

BT - Remember (Jordan Waeles whitelabel remix) (2006)
 |
I was wondering for a long time how to use these awesome "BT - Remember" vocals performed by Jan Johnston, because I just love the way that girl sings. Then i came up with that track. I must say that I never heard the original track, so I guess it's not really close to the original.
I did the bassline and a lead with my Roland JP-8080, and the rest with Fruity Loops, including the nice "Supatrigga" plugin that does these f**cked-up effects :) |

Bootleg whitelabel mash-ups
Mark Norman vs 4 Strings - Diving in Brasilia (2006)
 |
This bootleg was made by accident. I was in the bus, listening to a DJ set of a future guest I was auditing for Trance Mutation Broadcast, and his first track was "Mark Norman - Brasilia", which I didn't know yet. When the bassline came, I thought it was a remix of 4 strings - Diving, because the chords were the same, so during the whole track I was expecting those vocals and that typical "diving" lead to come... which never occured.
So when I came back home, I bought both tracks on dance-tunes.com and I tried to make something out of them... and it works! I actually had to re-edit a little bit the tracks to make their buildup match... but the result is worth much more than the effort. |
